MeadWestvaco Corporation has completed its acquisition of Polytop Corporation, a leading dispensing closure company, on December 30, 2011. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. MeadWestvaco Corporation provides packaging solutions to many brands in the beauty and personal care, healthcare, food, beverage, and other industries. Polytop’s offices and manufacturing facilities, located in Slatersville, Rhode Island, will remain in full operation and become an important part of MWV’s primary plastic operations and global manufacturing platform.
